What is Imaan-e-Kaamil — Perfect Imaan — ??

by AlaHadrat Ash-Shah Imam Ahmad Rida Khan Qadiri al-Baraylawi Alaihir raHmah

All praise is to Allah, the Lord Of The Creation. The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Owner of the Day of Recompense. Who blessed us being the Ummah of His Beloved Rasool Sallallaho Alaihi wa Sallam. Who sanctified our hearts with the Love and Affection towards His Beloved Rasool Sallallaho Alaihi wa Sallam. Who blessed us with the most precious treasure of Iman (Faith). Countless Salutations, Peace and Blessings be upon the Cream of the Creation... Mercy for all Worlds... Seal of the Prophets Sayyiduna wa Maulana MuHammadur RasoolALLAH Sallallaho Alaihi wa Sallam, His Blessed Parents, His entire Family, His Progeny, His Companions and all those who Follow Him!!

In the present era, It is really being felt that people must get aware of the Value of Iman and to know what Iman really is? Especially when the Thieves and Robbers of Iman are everywhere putting the garb (attire) of the Scholars of Islam, Aalim, Mufti, Hafiz, Teacher, Imam, Doctor, Professor etc. Who are continuously cropping the deviations and confusions in the minds of a common Muslims who in their ignorance get deceived by the Insolent and Corrupt Creeds. May ALLAH Guide us on the Straight Path!

Following are Golden Words by the Great Mujaddid AlaHadrat Ash-Shah Imam Ahmad Rida Khan al-Qadiri that will surely help us to understand the True meaning of Iman inshaALLAH!

What is Imaan?

Iman is to accept every word of Sayyiduna RasoolAllah SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam as absolute and nothing else but truth and to testify whole-heartedly the reality and truth of Sayyiduna Rasoolullah SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam.

One who observes the above would be called a Muslim, that is, if any of his words, actions or conditions does not reject, insult or falsify Almighty Allah and His Rasool SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam. His relationship with Almighty Allah and His Rasool SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam must be above all other relationships. He must love and respect all those who are the beloved of Almighty Allah and His Rasool SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam even though that person may be his enemy. He must disrespect and hate all those who disrespect and hate Almighty Allah and His Rasool SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam even if that person may be his beloved son. Whatever he gives should be for Almighty Allah and whatever he abstains from must be for Almighty Allah. Such a persons Iman is known as "Kamil" or "Complete".

Sayyiduna RasoolAllah SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam states:

من أحب لله وأبغض لله وأعطى لله ومنع لله فقد استكمل الإيمان"One who loves for Allah, hates anyone because of Allah, spends for Allah and holds back for Allah, then, indeed, he has completed his Iman." [Sunan Abi Dawood, Vol 2, Page 632 - Hadith 4681]

https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/24757_348514620333_672380333_4233883_7781302_n.jpg
The Value of Iman

Until such a time a person does not love and respect the exalted Nabi SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam, even though that person worships all his life, his worship is fruitless and rejected. Numerous Jogees, Monks and Hermits take to seclusion and spend their lives in the Remembrance of Almighty Allah. Some of them even indulge in the Zikr of "La ilaha illal lah" (There is no god but Allah), but they do not respect and love Rasoolullah SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam. What benefit is such Ibadah? Almighty Allah states in the Holy Quran:

وقدمنا الى ما عملوا من عمل فجعلناه هباء منثورا
"And We turned all the deeds they had performed into scattered floating specks of dust."[Furqan 25:23]

In another verse concerning such worshipers, Almighty Allah states:

عاملة ناصبة ۔ تصلى نارا حامية
"Laboring, striving hard. (Yet) Going into the blazing fire." [Ghashiyah 88:3/4]

Say, O Muslims! Does the dependence of Iman, serenity, survival and acceptance of deeds depends on the love and respect for the glorious Prophet of Allah SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam or not? Say "YES" and certainly, YES!

The Validity of Iman on Two Important Points

(A) Respect for Sayyiduna Rasoolullah SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam, and
(B) To love him above all creation within the universe.

The correct method to put this to test is to see that all those whom you love and respect, for example, Father, Teacher, Children, Brother, Murshid, Molvi, Mufti, Hafiz, Lecturer, Imam, or Friends, etc., if they at any time show the slightest disrespect for the Station of Sayyiduna Muhammadur Rasoolullah SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam, then there must not remain an atom of love and respect for that person in your heart. Such an insolent person should be totally severed from family and community. His name should cause great discomfort to you. His knowledge or status should be absolutely rejected and discarded. After all, your respect and connection with him was due to his respect for Rasoolullah SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam. Now that he insults the very reason of respect what more is left to have any reasons to respect such an audacious person.

On the other hand, if you accepted or observed silence to his insult to Rasoolullah SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam, kept good friends with him, did not regard him as wretched, shameless and mean-spirited and liked his condemnation, the, by Allah, with great justice, analyze where do you stand in the test of Iman!

Dear Muslims! Is it possible that the heart that contains the love and honour of the master of the universe, Sayyiduna Muhammad SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam, could ever tolerate insults to him, though it may be his Ustaz, Murshid or father? Would the heart that extremely loves the Holy Prophet SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam above all creation, ever respect or love one who belittles the unique and faultless Prophet of Allah SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam, even though it may be his own child or intimate friend?

Brothers and Sisters in Islam! The reason for showing respect to a learned scholar or Alim is that he is a Waris (Inheritor) to the Knowledge of Rasoolullah SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam. Is that person the Waris of Rasoolullah SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam or is that person a Shaitan who goes astray from the path of righteousness? In the former, his respect was the respect of Sayyiduna Rasoolullah SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam, and, in the latter, his respect was for Shaitan. This is the case when an alim goes astray, like the Ulema of un-Islamic belief. Then, what can be said about that person who commits Kufr? To regard such a person as Alim-e-Deen is Kufr itself!

A million regrets on him who claims to be a Muslim but respects and regards his Ustaz greater than Almighty Allah and His Rasool SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam. O Allah! With the true respect and mercy of your beloved Habeeb SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam, grant us true Iman. Ameen!

Steadfastness in Belief

Salvation depends on the fact that every single belief of the Ahle Sunnah Wa Jamah be so firm that one will remain firm even is the sky and the earth vanishes. One must have great fear for his belief at all times. The Ulama of Islam state that:

"One who does not fear that his Iman may be taken away, would be stripped of his Iman at the time of death."

Sayyiduna Umar Faruq (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu) states:

"If a voice calls out from the sky that all the people of the earth are forgiven but one, I would fear that the one would be me, and if the voice calls out that all the people on earth are dwellers of Hell but one, I will hope that the one be me."

The status of "Khouf" (Fear) and "Raja" (Hope) must have a balance as displayed by Sayyiduna Umar Faruq (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu).

All good is from Allah Ta’ala whereas mistakes are from this humble speck. May Allah Ta’ala Bless all readers, bringing you all closer to Him and His Rasul SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam. May He accept our humble efforts and grant us the capacity to be good and do good. May we live in this World with extreme protection of Iman and leave this world having our Iman safe and sound. May ALLAH keep us away from the tricks and hypocrisy of hypocrites; May ALLAH guide us to the path of those whom HE have favored. Keep us safe and away from those who have earned HIS anger and of those who have gone astray...Aameen!!

Valentines Day : How Halaal is it ?

In the name of Allah, the Most-Merciful, the All-Compassionate

"May the Peace and Blessings of Allah be Upon You"
Praise be to Allaah, we seek His help and His forgiveness. We seek refuge with Allaah from the evil of our own souls and from our bad deeds. Whomsoever Allaah guides will never be led astray, and whomsoever Allaah leaves astray, no one can guide. I bear witness that there is no god but Allaah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah

Valentines Day : How Halaal is it ?
by Asma bint Shameem
Okay...so its that time of the year again. When they say that "love" is in the air. The time when you see RED  everywhere.....red hearts, red candy, red flowers and red roses.
And when you walk into the stores you see chocolates, and jewelry and gifts for "that someone special you know".

This is the time when the old and the young, and even kids, as young as those in elementary school, exchange valentine cards and love notes amongst themselves.
And why is all this?
Because it's "Valentine's Day"...thats why.

But the sad calamity is, that even us Muslims are doing this. And its not just in the West. Those living in Muslim countries are just as involved. They too, are exchanging cards and gifts and love notes.

They too, are celebrating Valentines Day,
But what is this "Valentine's Day" after all ?
Have we ever thought about it? What is the story behind it?

What does celebrating "Valentines Day" really mean?

Where does this fit in a Muslims life?
In fact, does it even fit in it at all?
Looking at the Quraan and Sunnah, one should realize that we should not be celebrating it in the first place, because it is a celebration of the non-Muslims. Whatever we need to celebrate has been prescribed to us by Allaah and His Messenger (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa sallam) and it is prohibited to celebrate anything else.

That is why And Allaah said:
"For every nation We have ordained religious ceremonies which they must follow." [Surah al-Hajj:67]

And the Prophet (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa sallam) said: "Every nation has its own Eid (celebration) and this is our Eid (meaning Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha). ’ (al-Bukhaari, Muslim)

But, even if this Divine command was not there, it stillwould not be appropriate for a Muslim to celebrate Valentines Day.

Why is that ?
Because, if you really think about it, what this day promotes and revolves around, goes against the very basic principles of Islaam. What this day encourages, cuts at the very roots of what our religion teaches us.

Let us see what some of these differences are:

1. Allaah commands us to lower our gaze and not look at the opposite gender.

Tell the believing men to lower their gaze and protect their private parts....And tell the believing women to lower their gaze, and protect their private parts...” Surah al-Noor :30-31)

But Valentines Day encourages people to deliberately look and stare and seek out the one that you find attractive and pick him/her as your valentine.

2.  Allaah orders the Muslim women not to talk unnecessarily or in a soft manner to strange men.
“....then be not soft in speech, lest he in whose heart is a disease (of hypocrisy, or evil desire for adultery) should be moved with desire” (Surah al-Ahzaab :32)

Even for the Sahaabah, Allaah ordered them to screen themselves from the wives of the Prophet (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa sallam) when they need to ask them something.  Who could be purer than the wives of the Prophet (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa sallam) and who could be higher in taqwa than the Sahaabah?
"And when you ask (the Prophets wives) for anything you want, ask them from behind a screen, that is purer for your hearts and for their hearts".
(Surah al-Ahzaab: 53)
Yet, for Valentines Day, you see young men and women who are absolutely not mahram for one another in any way whatsoever, going way beyond this prohibition. Not only are they talking to each other in a soft and flirtatious way, but they are right out expressing their love (in reality, lust) for each other.

3. The Sunnah prohibits a man and a woman from being alone together at any time.
The Prophet (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa sallam) said:
Whoever believes in Allaah and the Last Day, let him not be alone with a woman who has no mahram present, for the third one present will be the Shaytaan.” (Ahmad -- saheeh by al-Albaani)

But those who celebrate Valentines Day purposely seek to be alone with each other and go out on dates with each other while Allaah says:
And come not near to unlawful sex. Verily, it is a Faahishah (i.e. anything that transgresses its limits: a great sin, and an evil way that leads one to hell unless Allaah Forgives him)” (al-Isra’ :32)

4. Islaam prohibits a man to even touch a non-mahram woman.
The Prophet (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa sallam) said:
If one of you were to be stabbed in the head with an iron needle, that would be better for him than his touching a woman who is not permissible for him.” (al-Tabaraani --saheeh by al-Albaani)

But Valentines Day promotes more than just touching. It promotes hugging, kissing, cuddling and much more. May Allaah protect us.

5. Islaam teaches us that real love between a man and a woman, that is acceptable and allowed by Allaah is only that between a husband and his wife.

"And of His signs is that He created for you wives from among yourselves, that you might reside with them, and has put love and mercy between you. Surely, there are signs in this for those who think".
(al-Room: 21)
But Valentines Day endorses haraam relationships between a non-mahram man and woman and encourages illicit love and un-Islaamic affiliations.

6. Islaam tells us that Hayaa (modesty) and bashfulness are a jewel to be treasured.
It is a purity and innocence that is a virtue, regardless for a man or a woman.

The Prophet (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa sallam) said:
Hayaa (modesty) is a branch of faith.” (Bukhaari)
On the other hand, this Valentines day advocates nothing but shamelessness and immodesty. Young men and women who have no hayaa for Allaah, leave alone for each other, openly and shamelessly, ask each other to be their love or be their valentine. Subhaan Allaah!

Conclusion
We, as Muslims, should not be celebrating Valentines day, nor is it allowed for us to do so. Everything that this day revolves around and is associated with is totally against the pure and pristine teachings of Allaah and His Messenger (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa sallam).
One shouldnt even congratulate one another or commemorate this day in any way or form. Even if this celebration is between a husband and wife, it is not right to do so because it is a celebration of the non-Muslims. And of course, if it is an illicit relationship, then obviously it is haraam.

We should adhere to the limits set by Allaah, and not transgress them just because we see other people doing so.

May Allah guide us and enable us to be true Muslims who submit earnestly and sincerely to Allaah and His Orders.
Ameen.
"O you who believe! Fear Allaah and keep your duty to Him. And let every person look to what he has sent forth for tomorrow, and fear Allaah. Verily, Allaah is All-Aware of what you do."
(Surah al-Hashr:18)

Merits of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)

Merits of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)
Juma'a Khutba in UAE masajid, 03-02-2012
First Sermon
All due praise is to Allah, Who  has conferred upon us the bliss of Islam and selected for us the best of all Mankind: our Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). He came with the Divine message to wipe out ignorance and  clear clouds of darkness. May Allah, The Most Glorified is He,  grant His blessings upon our Prophet (pbuh).  All grace is due to Allah as is befitting to His glorious presence and His great sovereignty and virtues. I bear witness there is no deity except Him.
I also bear witness that Muhammad (pbuh) is the Messenger of Allah and His Servant. I pray to Allah, The Most Gracious, to grant His blessings upon our Guide Muhammad (pbuh), his family, his companions and all those who will follow them in righteousness until the Day of Judgment.
O Servants of Allah! I urge you and myself to be ever God-conscious and to construct our lives in the shadow of divine obedience, for Allah, The Almighty says, "O you who have believed, fear Allah and believe in His Messenger; He will [then] give you a double portion of His mercy and make for you a light by which you will walk and forgive you; and Allah is Forgiving and Merciful." (Al Hadid:28).
Dear Muslims,
We are celebrating these days the birth anniversary of  our Guide, the Messenger of Allah Muhammad (pbuh). Allah, The Most Gracious, chose him from the greatest, most generous and most noble family, as Muhammad (pbuh) said, "Indeed Allah Chose the tribe of Kinanah over other tribes from the children of Ismail. He chose the Quraish over other tribes of Kinanah. He chose Banu Hashim over the other families of the Quraish, and He chose me from Banu Hashim. So I am the best of you in terms of family and the best of you as an individual."
Truly he was the best for his Umma and for the whole of humanity. He never failed to guide us to any good that will bring us closer  to Paradise, and likewise warned us against anything that will draw us nearer to Hellfire. Let us today shed light on some of his praiseworthy merits in order to embrace them as a model for us.
Muhamamd (pbuh) was very dedicated to Salat (prayer), regularly performing Tahajjud (night vigil) and  entreating his Creator, The Exalted is He, with a beautiful voice. Reporting on this, Al Baraa Ibn Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated , "I heard the Prophet (pbuh) reciting Surat Al Tin (the Fig) in the Isha prayer and I have never heard anybody with a better voice or recitation than his."
Muhamamd (pbuh) was friendly with his family and was gentle to deal with. Once  in the house, he served his family, and  kindly treated his sons and grandsons. It was reported that Allah's Apostle (pbuh) was once praying and he was carrying the daughter of Zainab, the daughter of Allah's Apostle. When he prostrated, he put her down and when he stood, he carried her (on his neck).
O Servants of Allah,
Muhammad (pbuh) was also modest and affectionate to other children. Jabir bin Samura reported: saying, "I prayed along with Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) the first prayer. He then went to his family and I also went along with him when they met some children (on the way). He began to pat the cheeks of each one of them. He also patted my cheek and I experienced a coolness or a fragrance of his hand as if it had been brought out from the scent bag of a perfumer."
Furthermore, his company was enjoyable for he was a caring and generous man. He was known for being very shy and  considerate, as well. He gave to those who asked and forgave those who did wrong things to him . Anas ibn Malik narrated: "I was walking with the messenger of Allah (pbuh) and he was wearing a mantle of Najran with a thick border. A Bedouin met him and pulled the mantle so violently that I saw this violent pulling had left marks from its border on the skin of the neck of the Messenger of Allah (pbuh). And he (the Bedouin) said: Muhammad!, command that I should be given out of the wealth of Allah which is at your disposal. The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) turned to him and smiled, and then he ordered for him a provision."
In congregations, his  tongue was moist with Allah's remembrance and when he joined a gathering, he sat at the very next available spot. He was thoughtful of others in encounters as he gave each of his interlocutors time to speak and discuss. Our Master Muhammad (pbuh) was kindhearted and willing to give an attentive ear to anyone who came to seek his counsel. He was always keen to offer help, but when it was beyond him to do this he politely expressed his apology.
Throughout his life, our Master Muhammad (pbuh) touched people's heart with generosity and his  good character. He used to be a father for them in many ways, treating  them fairly and evenly. His gatherings were for purposeful pursuits where the community conversed about matters of their religion and mould themselves in light of principles of compassion, modesty, patience and honesty.
He was all the time cheerful, lenient, and  very approachable. He was neither rude in speech nor harsh in heart . Rather he was tolerant and giving. He sympatised with the agony of his Umma either in this life or in the Hereafter. Allah, The Most High,  says, "There has certainly come to you a Messenger from among yourselves. Grievous to him is what you suffer; [he is] concerned over you and to the believers is kind and merciful." (Al Tawbah :128).
He even saved his accepted supplication for his Umma for the Day of Resurrection, saying, "Every prophet was bestowed with one special prayer  that is granted acceptance from Allah. All Prophets have utilised their privileged prayers in this world whereas I have saved it for the Hereafter- and that is my Intercession for my Umma on the Day of Judgment."
May Allah help us to follow our Guide Muhammad's (pbuh) merits and attributes and grant us his Intercession. We also supplicate to Allah, the Almighty, to help us obey Him and  those He ordained us to obey, as the Almighty says: "O ye who believe! Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger, and those charged with authority among you." (Annisaa:59).
May Allah bless you and me with the ability to implement the Holy Quran and the Sunna of His Messenger Muhammad (pbuh). I say this and pray to Allah, the Almighty, to grant us forgiveness. Supplicate to Allah for forgiveness for He is the Most Forgiving and the Most Merciful.
Second Sermon
Praise be to Allah. I bear witness that there is no deity but Allah, the only God who has no partner, and I bear witness that our Master Muhammad is His servant and messenger. May the peace and the  blessings of Allah be upon our master Muhammad, his family, his companions and all those who will follow them in righteousness till the Day of Judgment.
Dear Believers,
It is so rewarding to obey the Messenger of Allah and follow his Sunna (sayings and acts) in all aspects of our life. It is equally rewarding to educate our children according to our Prophet's (pbuh)morals, and duly love him, his family and companions (may Allah be pleased with them). One way to do this is by praying and sending as much blessings on our Prophet (pbuh).
It was narrated that Ubayy ibn Kaab said, "I said: O Messenger of Allah, I send blessings upon you a great deal; how much of my prayer (duaa) should be for you? He said: "whatever you wish." I said: one quarter? He said: "whatever you wish, and if you do more it is better for you." I said: Half? He said: "whatever you wish, and if you do more it is better for you."  I said Two thirds? He said:"whatever you wish, and if you do more it is better for you." I said: should I make all my Duaa for you? He said: "then your concerns will be taken care of and your sins will be forgiven."
O servants of Allah,
Allah has commanded you an order to which He and His angels are both committed, when He says, "Allah and His angels send blessings on the Prophet: O ye that believe! Send ye blessings on him, and salute him with all respect." (Al-Ahzab:56). The Prophet (pbuh) said, "for everyone who invokes a blessing on me will receive ten blessings from Allah."
May the peace and the  blessings of Allah be upon our master Muhammad (pbuh), his family, and all his companions. May Allah be pleased with the Rightly Guided Caliphs and all those who will follow them in righteousness till the Day of Judgment.
May Allah grant our Master Muhammad (pbuh) the best reward as is befitting to him. We supplicate to you, the Almighty, to accept our Duaa, grant us repentance unto You and guide us to fulfill actions to earn Your mercy, forgiveness and spells. We also beseech You to confer on us safety from every sin, and booty of all righteousness, and to win paradise and deliverance from the Fire.
O Allah, we implore You at this instant not to let a sin unforgiven, a distress unrelieved, an illness unhealed or a handicapped without relief, a dead without mercy or a debt unsettled. O Allah, give us in this world that which is good and in the Hereafter that which is good, and save us from the torment of the Hellfire.
May Allah grant our leader HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his Deputy, HH Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, success and provide strength and support to his brothers, Their Highness the Rulers of the Emirates, and his trustworthy Crown Prince HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
O Allah, forgive all of the Muslims, men and women, living and dead, and make blessings follow us and them. May Allah have mercy on Sheikh Zayed and Sheikh Maktoum and all their brothers, the late UAE Sheikhs. O Lord, forgive and show mercy, You are the Ever Merciful and there is no strength nor power save with Allah, the High, the Great.
O Allah, send upon us helpful, wholesome and healthy rain. O Allah, give us rain and do not make us among the despondent. O Allah, relieve us, O Allah, relieve us, O Allah, relieve us. Give us from the blessings of the sky and grow for us from the blessings of the earth, You are the Ever Providing.
We pray to Allah, the most gracious, to continue blessing the UAE and all Muslim countries with safety and security.
O Servants of Allah, Remember Allah and He will Remember You. Be grateful for His benevolence He will increase His blessings to you. Allah, the Most High, says, "and establish regular Prayer: for Prayer restrains from shameful and unjust deeds; and remembrance of Allah is the greatest (thing in life) without doubt. And Allah knows the (deeds) that ye do." (Al Ankaboot:45)

Another trick (Irony) that opposition use to attain is saying that some ignorant people from India and Pakistan of the last few decades have invented the celebrations of Mawlid an-Nabawi Sharif being influenced by the Hindu Celebration culture and It was never ever celebrated before in previous ages and bla bla bla. Let them have some glimpses of facts from the very true history.

History of Celebrating Mawlid an-Nabawi Sharif

1. Hadrat Allama Mulla Ali Qari narrating the routine of the people of Madina Munawwarah writes,
“The people of Madina Munawwarah (May ALLLAH have Mercy on them) used to arrange and attend mawlid gatherings with great enthusiasm and sincerity on the occasion of Mawlid Sharif.” [Mawrid ar-Rawi Fi Mawlid an-Nabawi, Page 29]

2. Ibn Jauzi says:
"People of Haramain Sharifayn (Makkah Mukarramah and Madinah Munawwarah) and Egypt and Yemen and Syria and of the eastern and western cities of Arabia hold functions in celebration of the birth of the Prophet (SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam), they rejoice at the sighting of the moon of Rabi al-Awwal, bathe and put on their best dresses adorn themselves in various ways, put on scent, and give alms with great joy, and exert themselves in listening to the Mawlid of the Prophet (SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam). By doing so, they themselves attain to success, as it has been proved that by celebrating the Mawlid of the Prophet (SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam) much good accrues the whole year round, security and comfort, greater means of livelihood, increase in children and in wealth, peace in cities and contentment and peace in homes."

In Haramayn (i.e. Makkah Mukarrama and Madina Munawwarah), in Egypt, Yemen rather all people of Arab world have been celebrating Mawlid for long. Upon sight of the moon in Rabi ul Awwal their happiness touches the limits and hence they make specific gatherings for Dhikr of Mawlid due to which they earn immense Ajr and Success. [Bayan al-Mawlid an-Nabwi, Page 58]

12. Shah Waliullah Dhelvi mentions one of his all time wonderful experiences as:
I took part in a gathering of Mawlid inside Makkah where people were sending Darood and Salam upon Prophet (Peace be upon him) and commemorating the incidents which took place during the time of the blessed birth (before and after) and those which were witnessed before He was appointed as a Nabi (such as Noor eliminating from Bibi Amina Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anha, she seeing Noor, woman proposing to Sayyiduna Abdullah Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anho on sighting the Noor on his forehead etc...) suddenly I saw Noor to have enveloped one group of people, I don’t claim that I saw this with my bodily eyes, nor do I claim that it was spiritual and Allah knows the best regarding these two, however upon concentration on these Anwaar a reality opened upon me that these Anwaar are of those Angels who take part in such gatherings, I also saw Mercy to be descending along with Anwaar of Angels. [Fuyudh al-Haramayn, Pages 80/81]

13. Shaykh al-Islam Imam Ibn Hajr al Haytami (Rahimuhullah) writes:
The gatherings of Mawlid and Adhkaar which take place during our time, they are mostly confined to good deeds, for example in them, Sadaqat are given, Dhikr is done, Darud and Salam is sent upon the Prophet (SallAllaho Alaihi wa Sallam) and he is praised.[Fatawa al-Hadithiyyah, Page 202]

14. The 7th-century historians Shaykh Abu al-Abbas al-Azafi and his son Abu al-Qasim al-Azafi wrote in their Kitab al-Durr al-Munazzam:
Pious pilgrims and prominent travelers testified that, on the day of the Mawlid Shareef in Makkah al-Mukarrama, no activities are undertaken, and nothing is sold or bought, except by the people who are busy visiting the noble birthplace, and rush to it. On this day the Holy Ka’abah is opened and visited.

15. The famous eighth-century historian, Ibn Battuta relates in his Rihla that
On every Jum’uah after the Salah and also on the birthday of the Beloved Prophet Alaihis Salat wa as-Salam, the door of the Holy Ka’abah is opened by the head of the Banu Shayba the doorkeepers of the Holy Ka’abah while on the Mawlid Shareef, the Shafi’i head judge of Makkah al-Mukarrama, Najm al-Din Muhammad ibn al-Imam Muhyi al-Din al-Tabari, distributed food to the descendants of the Beloved Prophet Alaihis Salat wa as-Salam and to the people of Makkah al-Mukarrama.

Each year on the twelfth of Rabi al-Awwal Shareef, after Maghrib Salah, the four Qadhis of Makkah al-Mukarrma (representing the Four Sunni Schools) and large groups of people including the jurists and notables of Makkah al-Mukarrma, Shaykhayn, Zawiya teachers and students, magistrates and scholars, leave the Mosque and set out collectively for a visit to the Noble Birthplace of the Beloved Prophet Alaihes Salato Salaam, shouting out Dhikr and Tahlil.

The houses on the route are illuminated with numerous lanterns and large candles, and a great many people are out and about. They all wear special clothes and they take their children with them.

Inside the Noble Birthplace, a special sermon for the occasion of the birthday of the Beloved Prophet SallAllaho Alaihi wa Sallam is delivered. Hereafter the Dua’ for the (Ottoman) Sultan, the Ameer of Makkah al-Mukarrma, and the Shafi’i Qadhi is performed and all pray humbly.

Shortly before the ‘Isha prayer, the whole party returns to the Great Mosque, which is almost overcrowded, and sit down in rows at the foot of Maqam Ibrahim.

A similar description is given by Shaykh al-Diyar Bakri (d/960) in his Great Sirah entitled Ta'rikh al-Khamis fi Akhbari Anfasi Nafis.
